This Oberheim SEM VCO module is a very stable and reliable V/Oct oscillator. The FET drain is supplied by a DC / DC converter, followed by a linear 18 V voltage regulator, so that the oscillator is absolutely tempco stable. The oscillator frequency can be set with the frequency potentiometer over a range of 3 octaves. The pulse width can be set from 5% to 95% with the pulse width potentiometer. The waveform can be cross-faded between a sawtooth wave and a square wave with the waveform potentiometer. Depending on the associated FM and PWM potentiometer, the modulation input supplies the CV voltage for both frequency modulation and pulse width modulation. On the front there are three TSR1/4 'switch kacks that are internally connected to the ER2BUS so that CV In, MOD In, Wave Out and Sync In can be pre-wired with other modules. External patch cables are therefore not absolutely necessary. Of course, you can also patch externally if you want.
